Lean Six Sigma Training and Certification

“The Right People + The Right Tools + Working on the Right Projects = Breakthrough”.

A simple formula but one that has proven time and time again to be the reason some deployments obtain modest results while others achieve breakthrough. Selection and planning for process improvement training comes from a careful review and evaluation of the business strategy and objectives. The intent is to evaluate the desired program results by identifying the right tools and techniques for continuous improvement, replication, institutionalization and sustainability of the deployment while assigning the right talent to perform these roles.

Total Operational Excellence has successfully trained process improvement practitioners at every level within the deployment structure. From executive workshops that align management with the overall objectives and initiatives through all of the “belt” levels, Total Operational Excellence has proven modules and experienced trainers who will bring about greater than industry standards. Time and time again.

Lean Six Sigma Training (DMAIC Methodology)

The Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology can be thought of as a roadmap for problem solving and product/process improvement. Most companies begin implementing Lean Six Sigma using the DMAIC methodology, and later add the DFSS (Design for Six Sigma, also known as DMADV or IDDOV) methodologies when the organizational culture and experience level permits.

Total Operational Excellence focuses on DMAIC methodology. DMAIC is an acronym for the five phases that make up the process:

  • Define the problem, improvement activity, opportunity for improvement, the project goals, and customer (internal and external) requirements.

  • Measure process performance.

  • Analyze the process to determine root causes of variation, poor performance (defects).

  • Improve process performance by addressing and eliminating the root causes.

  • Control the improved process and future process performance
